In the near future, a new drug allows parents to relive memories by regressing their kids back five years at a time. Katherine Schaffer is planning a family reunion, but when things start to go awry, the new miracle drug proves to be more than just an "evening of delight." During a dinner party, two adventurous middle-school boys wander off and run across a strange device in the basement. After others find out, though, old vendettas cause major problems as the device falls into the wrong hands.

In this sequel, Jake (now 15) tries to use the device to age himself in order to impress a girl, and, as one might guess, things do not always go as planned.
